HumanDesign88 Privacy Policy
Short version: HumanDesign88 has no account and no server of its own. Your birth details and saved charts are stored only on your device, and your charts are calculated on your device. We do not sell your data and we run no advertising or product analytics. Limited technical data is sent only for crash reporting, app updates, birth-place search, and links you choose to open.
This Privacy Policy describes how Vedware ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the HumanDesign88 mobile application ("HumanDesign88" or the "App") on iOS and Android.
By using HumanDesign88, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
HumanDesign88 is published by Vedware. Privacy-related information is available at humandesign88.vedware.com.
2. Information stored on your device
Information you enter in HumanDesign88 stays on your device in local app storage. This includes:
- Saved designs — the name, birth date, birth time, birth place and timezone you enter
- Which saved design you have marked as your primary chart
Charts themselves are never stored. They are recalculated from your birth details each time you open one. We do not operate a HumanDesign88 account or sync service, and your birth details are not uploaded to our servers as part of normal App use.
3. Chart calculation happens on your device
Astronomical positions are computed with a Swiss Ephemeris engine bundled inside the App, including the ephemeris data files it needs. Generating a chart, a transit view, a calendar or a connection chart requires no network access at all, and sends nothing anywhere.
4. Birth-place search
When you type in the birth-place field, your search text is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service to find matching places. Nothing else about you is sent with it, and the request happens only while you are typing in that field.
5. Timezone lookup
Timezones are resolved offline from a table bundled in the App. In the rare case that the offline lookup fails, the coordinates of the place you selected — and nothing else — are sent to timeapi.io as a fallback so the chart can use the correct local time.
6. AI reading links
A chart screen offers optional "ChatGPT" and "Claude" links. If you tap one, a summary of that chart is placed into a link that opens in that service, where you can see it before sending. This happens only when you tap the link, and only with the chart you are viewing. Once opened, the content is handled under that service's own privacy policy, not ours.
7. Crash reporting
In release builds, HumanDesign88 uses Sentry to detect crashes and technical errors. When an error occurs, Sentry may receive:
- Device model, operating system version, and app version
- Crash stack traces and related diagnostic logs
- Technical context needed to reproduce or fix the issue
- Network-related metadata that may include IP address
Sentry is disabled in development builds, and session replay is not enabled. Crash reports do not include your saved birth details or charts. This data is used only to keep the App working, never for advertising.
8. App updates
HumanDesign88 may check for over-the-air updates through Expo Application Services (EAS Updates). When the App checks for updates, Expo may receive basic technical information such as app version, platform, and update channel so the correct update can be delivered. This does not include your birth details or charts.
9. Product analytics
None. The App contains no product analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of which screens you open or features you use.
10. What we do not collect
HumanDesign88 is designed to avoid unnecessary data collection. In normal use, we do not:
- Require you to create an account
- Store your birth details on our servers
- Sell your personal information
- Use your data for advertising
- Track your precise location
- Operate a social network or public profile for your charts
11. How we use information
We use the limited information described above to:
- Provide core App functionality on your device
- Find the birth place and timezone you are searching for
- Deliver app updates
- Diagnose crashes and improve stability
12. How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share limited technical data with the service providers that help us operate the App — Sentry for crash reporting and Expo for update delivery — which process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. The birth-place search and the optional AI reading links send data directly from your device to those third-party services, not through us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or others.
13. Data retention
Saved designs remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Crash reports retained by Sentry are kept only as long as needed for debugging and service operation, according to Sentry's retention practices.
14. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. Because HumanDesign88 data is stored locally, you can usually exercise these rights directly in the App or on your device by:
- Editing or deleting individual saved designs
- Using "Clear all saved designs" in Settings
- Declining to use the optional AI reading links
- Uninstalling the App
15. Children's privacy
HumanDesign88 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
16. Not professional advice
HumanDesign88 presents Human Design charts and interpretive descriptions for personal interest and reflection. Nothing in the App is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for a qualified professional.
17. International users
HumanDesign88 is operated through service providers that may process limited technical data in the United States or other countries. By using the App, you understand that this information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.
18. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by our service providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for access to your device, where your saved designs are stored.
19. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or on our website where appropriate.
